No Men's Land is a project by cym. The first version of this project was realized between 2004 and 2007. This first version consists of 48 photos that were turned into 48 abstract images, each created by hand as an HTML table. This original version can now be visited at http://nomensland.eu/2007/

In the project No Men's Land cym is capturing some of the rapid changes of the Central European borders. On December 21, 2007 the border controls between Austria and its neighbouring countries Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary and Slovenia disappeared. This date will also mark the end of the first part of the No Men's Land project. There is still a huge collection of photos taken by cym between May 1st, 2004 and December 21st, 2007 waiting to be transformed into abstract HTML tables. During the coming months hopefully these images will be added to this site, giving an interesting view of the recent changes in Central Europe. The original version of the project, with the first 48 images and a lot of background-information, will remain the same and can be visited at http://nomensland.eu/2007/
